We, at Navabharat, since the very beginning, yearn to free the country from the atrocities of injustice. With fierce, unbiased journalism, we have not only become the voice of New India but have also influenced our readers to unabashedly voice their opinions and raise their concerns. With the mission to ignite the fire in people in the wave of the freedom movement, we have always been inclined towards contributing to the betterment of the society, by spreading awareness about anything that is relevant, especially the issues that go unnoticed. With the knowledge of how impactful our voice can be, we continue to work towards building a better New India.
Our coverage of the 2006 terrorist attack on the RSS building in Nagpur, the Separate Vidarbha movement, the initiative to establish Multimodal International Cargo Hub and the International Airport in Nagpur (MIHAN), and many other groundbreaking movements and initiatives was not only timely but also effective, as it galvanized the authorities to take necessary actions, which created a strong impact on our readers.
Change is the only constant thing in the world. To adapt to the ever-changing dynamics of the media industry and be on the same page with our readers, it is essential to be innovative. It is not just about the idea. In fact, it is about whether you can implement it with utmost perfection; and if yes, then how? For such implementation, every good idea needs to be shaped with the latest and relevant technology.
In this digital age, an apt blend of digital strategies and print media can help reach out to people in high numbers, and that too, in a short time span. We strive to continuously experiment with new ways of advertising and come up with new, interesting trends and innovations. Advertising is a vital part of the media business. So, with Advertising Innovations, we advance the way that we interact with our readers by utilizing new, creative advertisement ideas, which also helps to give our readers an experience that is beyond their expectations, yet satisfying.
Navabharat is not just a media firm. We are a community where everyone plays an equally crucial role, which is why we have such a strong impact on our readers. For us, it is all about feeling connected and taking responsibility as a unit, as we believe in taking everyone along with us on our journey. So, the strength of Navabharat lies in unity, which is the basis of the genesis of the following networks:
Feminism is an ideology and it is for everybody. The Suruchi Club, a lifestyle initiative started in 2003, is a unique, vast network of inspirational women from all fields, such as entrepreneurship, employability, education, and personal development. We aim to empower women and give them the resources and the ability to live their lives, on their own terms. With a variety of events, including perspective building workshops, interactive exercises, and games, we spread awareness among participants about gender equality issues, like violence against women, patriarchy, and toxic masculinity. In addition, we also focus on engaging people in meaningful conversations, to eradicate the prevailing stereotypes. We are committed to the brands that collaborate with Suruchi club and ensure their experience is pleasing and consistent, thereby promising brand success.
We believe that children are the future of the New India that we wish to shape. We recognize our responsibility towards the society, and with that thought in mind, launched Gurukul, which is a platform for the all-round development of children. We not only guide them in their academic journey by working shoulder to shoulder with them, but also impart comprehensive knowledge of other aspects of life, like sports, science, health, education, sanitation, environment, India’s history, heritage, and religion. This not only ensures their overall development, but also shapes their personality. Gurukul serves as a knowledge partner of over 2000 schools in Maharashtra, consisting of over a million children. In addition, it holds a good presence in all editions of Navabharat, featuring interesting, informative articles on any category that is relevant to children, and brands and products related to children. Under Gurukul, we also conduct engaging events like quizzes, health camps, workshops, tree plantation drive, school felicitation, student felicitation, industry visits, science picnics, and museum visits.
It is always good to get some wisdom from the elderly, and know about their experiences. However, many elderly people, despite having lived their life to the fullest, tend to stop socializing and live in isolation, which makes them highly inactive and brings dullness to their daily lives. We believe that socialization is a very integral part of one’s life, as it not only leads to meaningful connections with people, but also keeps their life interesting and fun. Second Innings is a platform specifically made for elderly people, that organizes various programs and events to bring them together and recreate ever-lasting memories. It rejuvenates them and brings a sense of playfulness back to their everyday lives, thereby breaking the monotony.
In India, the majority of the population is the youth. In this digital age, where there is so much access to information, these young, creative minds are quite aware of what they want and do not hesitate to take daring steps, but they need a constant guide. We, at GenNex, serve as a guide for India’s youth that helps them channelize their energy in the right direction, as per their aspirations. Under GenNex, we conduct engaging events, like entertainment activities, educational and motivational workshops, science exhibitions, and career guidance seminars, to bring them together under one roof, encouraging them to explore new things and understand new perspectives.
Udaan is a celebration of highly successful and intellectual yet varied minds, whose contribution has led to the transformation of the beautiful city of Nagpur, including businessmen, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and administrators. We, in collaboration with several brands, strive to highlight their valuable contribution and recognize their significance, by bringing them together in one place with various programs, such as panel discussions and conferences.
Everything that we, at Navabharat do, is done with our vision of ‘New India’ in mind. We always take immense pride in being the voice of New India, and understand our responsibilities and duties well. Right from the beginning, we have always made efforts to contribute in our own ways and build a society driven by sustainability. So, in our pursuit of creating a better, sustainable future, we have undertaken many social initiatives, some of which are:
Navabharat organized a campaign called Jal Kal Abhiyaan along with Orange City Water (OCW), in order to spread awareness among people about the scarcity of water and the significance of saving water. It featured a half glass activity, under which every participant was supposed to serve half a glass of water. Taking the oath of not wasting water and stopping others from doing the same was also a part of the campaign, called Jal Sankalp.
Conducted in association with Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Swaccha Nagpur Sundar Nagpur aimed to drive the acts of plantation and cleanliness. We spread awareness about the consequences of global warming, particularly deforestation, by highlighting the dropping level of oxygen and increasing levels of harmful gases, including carbon dioxide, and urged people to plant trees. In addition, we also encouraged people to keep their surrounding environment clean and maintain proper sanitation, thereby enabling them to live a happy, healthy life.
A fit body and a healthy mind is all it takes, to be truly happy. So, in order to experience the truest form of joy, one must exercise. With that in mind, we organized a fitness session to make people aware of the benefits of exercising every day and how it can rejuvenate them. Attended by people in large numbers, the activity turned out to be quite successful.
Everyone is so busy trying to make the most of their professional life, that they forget to take care of themselves. Considering there are many people who work restlessly every day but still cannot afford expensive health checkups, we organized a free health checkup camp for people of all classes, and encouraged them to take some time out, for their own well-being. The motive was to make people aware of their health issues and provide the right guidance.
Other than having bad traffic sense, many people in India habitually violate rules, especially when it comes to parking their vehicles. Even today, the problem of parking in a no-parking zone or right in front of someone’s house, still exists. So, to minimize this issue as much as possible, we distributed approximately 20,000 No Parking boards to people, and asked them to put them up on their gates, so that their path would not be obstructed by any other vehicles.
Until the Zero Load Shedding campaign gained immense popularity and attained its objective, there used to be power failures every now and then in Nagpur, which was very inconvenient. The objective of this campaign was to appeal to the government to free Nagpur from load shedding and provide its citizens with 24*7 power supply. We interviewed many people and published articles highlighting their views full of wrath, which eventually caught the government’s notice.
Known for being at the geographical centre of India, the Zero Mile Stone in Nagpur comprises of a pillar made of sandstone and other small stones, with four stucco horses surrounding it. This represents the GTS Standard benchmark, as all the distances can be measured from this single point of reference. With our efforts, we helped it get the desired recognition. In addition, we also expressed our views on the streamlining of several projects, namely Ramjhula and Narendra Nagar over-bridge.
In 1991, Mowad in the Nagpur district was heavily affected by terrible floods, leaving many people homeless and destroying their livelihood, especially farmers. Besides covering it, we also raised funds for the relief of flood-affected people and assisted many victims in reconstructing their houses.
After the Latur district of Maharashtra was hit with a massive earthquake in 1993, we extended a helping hand by providing the victims with food and necessities required for their relief, and encouraged many people to do the same. We informed our readers about the financial aid and sources, through which they could also help the victims by doing their part.
Graffiti is basically decorating a wall or any other surface with beautiful writings or drawings to convey a social message. We engaged in the activity and made paintings on the barren walls of Nagpur, thereby beautifying the city.
